Greys Anatomy ended and I feel betrayed. Last night I, who have not missed an episode since this series was born, had to re-watch half of the season finale again on Tivo to remember a)what had happened and b) why I didn’t remember it having happened. It took me quite a while to determine that I had, in fact, seen it but I couldn’t remember it because it was simply a commercial for the new spin-off starring Dr. Lady Shepherd. I admit I was (maybe too) invested in the original characters but isn’t that what a good night-time soap is about? I feel like the writers gave up on them & gave me a new set of people to care about. Taye Diggs may be fine but he has yet to prove himself to be a McAnything yet, and as for Meredith Grey and her merry band, it will be many long months until they return with new ways to torture themselves armed with their own contagious brand of angst. I urge the writers and producers to consider a good old fashioned who-shot-JR-style cliff hanger for next seasons end, if anyone besides me is still watching…
